HELMET MAINTENANCE

PLEASE CHECK THE MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR SPECIFIC HELMET IN YOUR MANUAL

BAD HABITS TO AVOID

To prolong the use and efficiency of your NEXX helmet, it's crucial to care for it.

Always be cautious not to drop your helmet, as this could damage the paintwork and severely reduce it's protective capabilities (remember, this isn't covered by our warranty) If you have a neon-coloured helmet, bear in mind that prolonged exposure to UV rays can cause fading (again, not something covered by our warranty) Light-colored and matte finish helmets need some extra TLC since they attract more dust and dirt.

Store your matte helmet in a well-ventilated area to avoid damage from humidity and heat (and yes, you guessed it, this isn't covered by the warranty).

Avoid use of all liquid solvents. Find a safe spot to store your helmet; avoid hanging it on your motorcycle mirror or anywhere else that could harm the lining.

Never carry your helmet on the motorcycle or on your arm while riding.

Steer clear of exposing your helmet to harsh chemicals or extreme temperatures.

Keep it away from places with lots of humidity or strong UV rays.

And whatever you do, don't dunk your helmet in water.

HOW TO KEEP YOUR HELMET EFFECTIVE

Keep it clean, inside and out, to maintain its appearance and functionality over time.

Neglecting this can lead to irreversible issues.

Always wear the helmet correctly, ensuring it's positioned properly and using the buckle (strap) to adjust it securely to your head.

Periodically lubricate the mechanisms and rubber parts surrounding the visor with silicone oil. You can do this using a small brush or cotton swab.

Apply the oil sparingly, then wipe off any excess with a clean, dry cloth. This will help preserve the softness of the rubber seal and significantly extend the lifespan of the visor clamping mechanism.

Store your helmet in a cool, moisture-free environment at all times.

HOW TO CLEAN

Before cleaning your helmet carefully read the instruction manual for your helmet.

By following these cleaning guidelines, you can maintain the condition and functionality of your helmet for optimal safety and performance.

We recommend using S100 cleaning products available at www.motohaus.com

EXTERNAL HULL (HULL)

Use water with a mild soap or specific cleaning products such as S100.

Employ a soft cloth and avoid applying excessive pressure while cleaning.

Ensure cleaning materials don't touch the visor to prevent damage.

Never use fuel, thinners, or solvents as they can seriously damage the helmet.

Strap

Regularly check the strap's functionality.

Remember, the strap cannot be changed or modified.

Avoid applying oil or grease to the metal components.

Repair should only be conducted by NEXX Helmets.

VISOR AND SUNGLASSES

Clean the outside of the visor and sunglasses with a soft cloth and mild soap solution.

Dry them with a lint-free cloth, applying light pressure.

Do not use cleaning products containing alcohol, gasoline, solvents, or window cleaner. We recommend using S100.

Avoid immersing the visor in water, as it can damage the anti-fog/scratch-resistant coating.

When storing, slightly raise the visor to prevent moisture buildup.

ANTI-FOG LENS

Clean the anti-fog lens with a soft, slightly dampened cloth (preferably microfiber).Avoid using any cleaning products.

INTERIORS

Some helmets may not have removable inner linings.

For removable linings, hand wash them with mild soap solution at a maximum temperature of 30°C.

Allow the lining to air dry at room temperature with good ventilation.

VENTILATIONS AND EXTERIOR PARTS

Depending on the model, some front vents can be removed for cleaning (refer to the Product Manual).

Clean all vents and exterior parts with warm water and a soft cloth.

Use a neutral soap for stubborn dirt.

Remove excess water with a dry cloth and allow it to air dry.
